Frequently asked questions
The most common questions we get from our clients
If you cancel your appointment within 12 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged 30% of the original service fee, as this time was held for you and non-bookable for another paying client. If you are a no-call/no-show for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged 100% of the service price.
- The Day before: Shave, exfoliate and/or wax. Your tan likes closed pores and clean skin best.
- The Day of: Shower at least 4+ hours beforehand, avoiding creamy washes (such as Dove or Olay) that leave a filmy residue on the skin. Sorry, but you’ll also have to skip the perfume, make-up and deodorant (don’t worry gorgeous you’re amazing without it). These items can interrupt the skin’s pH levels and create residue on the skin that does not absorb the tan well.
This is entirely up to you and your comfort, as well as whether you desire tan lines or not. Some clients elect to wear an old swimsuit. We also have disposable/paper briefs, thongs, and strapless bras available. For clients who do not desire tan lines due to specific dress, competition, pageant or otherwise, being sprayed in the nude is an option as well.
We suggest dark, lose clothing and open toe sandals or flip flops. Plan to be pretty chill for the next several hours.
Spray tans last an average of 7 to 10 days. The longevity of your tan varies based on your skin type, level of fitness, daily activity, and HOW WELL YOU maintain your spray. Like a suntan, a sunless tan fades gradually as your skin cells shed. To help maintain your tan, apply moisturizer twice daily. Want a long-lasting glow? Regularly scheduled follow-up tans will get you there. Just remember, this is Vegas, and in this dry heat you’ll need more moisture to maintain your tan.
For the best results, we recommend waiting at least 8 hours before showering. This period allows the tan to fully develop and set into your skin, ensuring an even, long-lasting glow.
PRE TAN FAQ
The ideal time is 2-3 days before the start of your wedding festivities, including your rehearsal dinner or any other pre-wedding events. It’s better to be too far from the wedding than too close. If you’re not sure when to schedule, we recommend erring on the safe side or calling us for advice. Fitness competitors and bodybuilders can be sprayed the day before or even the morning of with a rapid competition solution.
Shave, wax and exfoliate 1-2 days before the appointment. This gives us beautiful skin cells to work with that have closed pores.
POST TAN FAQ
It’s best to avoid pools and hot tubs for at least 8 hours post-tan. Immersing your skin in water too soon may compromise the tan’s quality and shorten its lifespan.
You can shave after your tan, but we recommend waiting at least 24 hours to allow the tan to develop. Shave lightly to prevent removing the tan. Any form of exfoliation such as scrubbing, shaving or waxing can impact removal of the tan.
